EXHAUST SOUND G35/350Z
Does this exhaust sound like a riceburner? Or is it more like a G35/350Z?

I am looking for a sound like that. Lets not have this thread consist of this exhaust is good and that exhaust is bad. Let's just get an answer.
AGAIN,
Does this exhaust replicate a G35/350Z exhaust? YES/NO?

What exhaust? Is there a particular exhaust we are supposed to be comparing? Are we supposed to imagine what it sounds like and compare it to a G35/350z?
All I hear right now is the buzzing of my computer fans so I think I am going to go with a no.

You bet! Are you going to upgrade the rest of the exhaust too? For reference, I have Cattman headers, and a Greddy SP2 exhaust... this is actually my setup:

Hey that clip I posted is not the same exhaust as the one you have a link to at the top. I bought this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-T30...3A1|240%3A1318 and I had the piping done from the Y-pipe up to the Ysplit then from the Ysplit to the mufflers with 2.5in piping. I will be posting more pics later of the tips and install on another thread when I get home from work tonight.

IMO, that sounds really nice and seems very similar to the 350z/g35 sound. I like that a lot, but for the one linked above, that doesn't sound too bad either for a cheaper ebay exhaust.

The Linked at the top runs about $290 shipped with direct bolt up so no need to pay to have installed. The one I posted cost $86 shipped if in Continental U.S. and $126 if in Hawaii shipped. Plus installation which cost me $300 in Hawaii which would be around $100-$200 anywhere else. Hawaii prices are comparable to San Fransisco.

Bottom line: you will NOT.. and I repeat will NOT get any exhaust that sounds like a Z or a G bro... no matter what you try. Your car is a Max... and regardless what exhaust you use, it won't sound like a G or a Z. you'll think it sounds close becuz mentally you want it to sound like it, but it won't be the same... just tellin you the truth.
Pick an exhaust that you like the sound of, and get it installed on your car... it's that simple.

I wouldn't say that you will NOT get the sound... I mean the MAX has pretty much the same engine to the G. Its a matter of matching the exhaust system on the max to the same as the G... Which will cost a Ton of money.
If you really want to try to get it, I'd start of with trying to pick up some G mufflers and work your way back.

You can NOT get the sound.. It may have a similar engine as a Z or a G but the engines are tuned differently from the factory. Even if he tried to match the exhaust tip piece for piece, he won't get the exact same tone. ECU is probably different which is another factor and i'm sure there's more to it. Not worth the time or money...

I thought I was the only 1 getting tired of reading these "sounding like a Z or G exhaust" or "Nismo exhaust" and blah blah blah...Way too many of them...
