Washable In Cabin Filter
Washable In Cabin Filter
So I got sick of buying the in cabin filters. So I stole an idea I saw on some other sites/vehicles to make a permanent/washable in cabin filter. It cost $20 at home depot, and makes 2 filters (you could rotate).
Product Purchased (make sure to get the ADJUSTABLE model):

Parts Included:

1. Make a template.

2. Mark screen.

3. Cut screen with scissors.

4. Cut plastic pieces. This shown one is my test cuts, and required further cuts until perfect. You get the idea.

5. Glue together. I used liquid nail for small projects (tube). Seems to hold.

Say goodbye to $10/year filters

Love the filter btw. Installed it today. I let the glue dry several hours before installation. It fits like a glove. I'll be able to clean it with a garden hose every year...
Too much hassle for a maintenance item, such as in cabin filter. Why bother with washing old filter when you can just throw it in a garbage and install a brand new part. It costs like 10-15 bucks or something..
Jesus, it takes me $50 to fill up a tank these days!
