Painted calipers!!!
Painted calipers!!!
I'm looking to paint my calipers the same gold color as the Infiniti G35"s calipers. My Max is a 6th gen and the color is Winter Frost (White). Need some opinions.
All i've ever done is cover the rotor with a white terry cloth towel.
Tuck the sides in to the caliper and be careful painting.
I've done the max, my pathfinder and a couple others this way with zero problems.
I also recommend high temp engine block paint.
The "brake" paint is way over priced and the block paint will hold up to higher temps.

painting your disk will improve your braking power, studies have been conducted and proved that this works. but its only red paint that does it, no other paint on the calipers will improve braking
I'm thinking black as well, to match the car. Anyone else have black calipers that could post a pic for me to see??
I'll paint mine as soon as spring is there. I'll disassamble them and sandblast/clean/paint. They are quite rusty now because of the salt during winter, and just painting will not do the job... I'll do the rotors too because they look like rusted crap.
What color do you suggest? KC metal color is nice, black looks nice, or OEM silver?

Before I went BBK, I used a G2 Caliper paint kit that came with the cleaner and paint. Using painters tape covered rotors, clips, etc. and used an artist brush and painted without removing anything. Works best on jack-stands, both front then rear.

I know exactly what your saying, I don't get gold rims either. IMO that's rice as hell

It's true, you can't argue with science.
