? when did the 07-08 model come out with a CVT engine? Did I miss something? Also these chips are just wires with resistors installed inside. Use google and do some research, you will be amazed at what you will find about these things. The claims are also rediculous. 130hp with 35tq. That in itself doesn't make sense.

ye 07-08 CVT trannys are tiptronic. what im doing is i got air/fuel cotroller from APexI. which is VAFC. Plug that in and u should made decent horsepower with our mods. with my current mods i think i can gain like 10whp more. so going from 245.6 to 255.x will be good. Hey i might gain more. So get a good Comp for ur car dont go cheap with those

07+ all have CVTs. Meaning Constant Variable Transmissions. Not engines. As someone mentioned earlier.

How much hp can be had from these cars from getting the computer reflashed? Assuming basic intake/exhaust mods?

Apexi mod

Boeing - you said that you have the air/fuel controller from Apexi for your 07? I have an 08 and was told that you cannot mess with the Air/Fuel Ratio. I several mods and with TQ not doing the flash for the 08 I am struggling to get the most from my mods. I just ordered the Jet MAF and I am thinking about trying the "Bully Pup" which claims to advance the timing along with some other adjustments??????? I am holding off on installing headers until I can figure out the ECU mod.

Thanks

Get something you can tune yourself. Like the TurboXS UTEC, fuel/timing/rev limiter control and you don't need to have it reflashed every time you get new mods.

Installed the Jet MAF today and took a couple of test runs, there is definately a great deal of improvement on the low end! Since doing my mods I noticed that I had a lag time off the line at WOT, it almost seemed as if the car was starving for fuel until the rpm,s climbed. With the JET maf this lag time is drastically reduced and the car does not lag like it did prior. I have a Fujita CAI and I replaced the Fujita filter with a better qaulity filter, unfortunatly I lost that distinct Fujita roar. After installing the JET MAF it definately gave me back some of the old sound. I will post tommorow after I have had a chance to get on the freeway to see what the performance feels like at higher speeds but for $134 it seems to a good investment.

Nice report back on this product. I have been contemplating getting this product for some time now. Do you have track slips or dyno sheets with before and after?

I don't. What I do have is an onboard computer that will give 0-60 1/4 mile and other stats and times. I have calibrated this unit with a stop watch and have found it to be pretty accurate. Prior to the new MAF I was running a 5.9 to 6.2 0-60 in the automatic mode (With the CVT auto is faster from 0-60 than manual mode-tiptronic). After installing the Jet MAF I have run several passes between 5.4 and 5.6 0-60. The difference is the clear gain on the low end, much less of a lag at WOT and the rpm's climb much faster. I have not had a chance to run the 1/4 yet and compare but I will try to do that tommorow and let you know how it goes. I really want to get an ECU tune to see what that does for my times. What kind of 0-60 times is everyone else seeing?

Thanks

ok...I have a 06 Max and my car is bone stock with the exception of 20" TSW and its lowered on eibach springs. Im planning to get everything bolt on: CAI, Headers, and Full Catback exhaust. Maybe nitrous. After all this is install, should I reflash the ecu? and dose reflashing my ecu make my car gain more power on top of all the bolt on? Answering my annoying question will be really helpful. Thanx!

I had my car dyno tuned before and after ECU reflash and the greatest gains were midrange - about 15-20 hp.
