Need new springs - please help

Hey guys,

So I've been loking at new springs for the Max (Eibach, Progress, Tein).

A few of my buddies have Nissans (Skylines, 240SX's and a 300ZX) and they have told me to stick to Progress instead of Eibach or Tein.

Any recommendations ?

I had Eibach for 3 years+ with zero issues and it's a slightly lower drop. 2" F/ .08" R

Progress is good also but in no way is it better than an Eibach. They are close to equal in performance with EiBach IMO being slightly better.

did you have to do any mods to the suspension or were the springs direct replacements - I read that some of the guys running with the Eibachs had clanking issues...

Most were due to bad installs where the spring was turned the wrong way or driving on sh*ty roads and blowing there struts (which can happen with Progress also). Bottom line Progress are not better than Eibach IMO (pretty equal with Eibach have a better overall world wide reputation) and no one can produce any data that disputes that!!!

PS, Progress are cheaper in price though...

on eibach here. I cant speak for progress, but the ride comfort of the

eibachs are great. From what i've read on these boards progress is a bit stiff and makes the max ride like a "go cart". I also read that progress is linear and the eibachs are progressive. I have zero issues with them. ZERO. Install is key with the spring plates. If you dont know what you are doing, do not attempt.

hey bro - leaning toward the Eibachs since like you I will get the Progress when hell freezes over (I got my car guy looking for a dist. that can get me a set, so we shall see how that turns out man) - worst case scenario, we can go with Cattman and save on the shipping and duties at least)

I love the Progress but not sure now...

what are you planning to do ?

BTW -> Thanks to all that helped out! Appreciate it (Corona @ my house to whoever can make it)

well since i cancelled the springs...i decided that the money i saved will go towards the purchasing fog lights. i have an 04 but did the 07 bumper swap, so i figure might as well fill up those holes i got on my bumper!

but yeah maybe we can broker a deal from the states and we can split cost for shipping/duty for the springs and meet up
