Mechanical Issues

I'm starting to hear a humming noise coming from the front end of my car. I can feel it in the gas pedal going at least 30mph. The more you accelerate the louder the noise. At 1st I thought it was my tires going bald. So I recently put on rims. That wasn't the case. I thought maybe something is rubbing. I lifted my car up and inspected and no visable rubbing. I thought it was coming from the brakes. I replaced all 4 rotors and pads. Still hear humming. Has this happen to anyone? I'm a mechanic and I can't figure this one out. My next step would be checking the hubs.

Man, never heard of that one. Buzzing yes, humming = No. Bearings somewhere or belt?

Will be interesting to find out.

i would think it would be a belt or maybe the radiator fan?

are you running the A/C when you hear the humming?

Is it between about 20 - 40 mph or is it at all speeds?

I know some have reported that between those speeds under light acceleration it seems like there is a vibration. This is for those with a CVT transmission.

Wheel bearings, I've got an 08 SE as well with 40k miles on it and just had the wheel bearings replaced. Noise started around 40 and got worse the faster I went. Frank
