I am thrilled with the lights, however, I do NOT feel that they are a plug and play mod. I had to spend over 2 hours monkeying with the plugs to get the lights to work correctly. First, I had the fast flash on the left light. Then, the brake lights were constantly lit on the right light, and when I stepped on the brakes, the left light went out. I had to keep playing with the prongs on the right light, until it finally started working. For $300, you would think that they would have corrected this problem already. I was about ready to cut the plugs off and hardwire the tail lights to the harness. I also have the LUXER1 194 wedge bulb in the reverse light, but I want something brighter, so if anybody has any suggestions, please let me know. I'm also in the middle of an interior LED swap consisting of all interior lights, and swapping the orage factory LED's to blue. I'll post pics whenever I'm able to finish.

I personally love the mods. I'm surprised that it took you that long to get the lights to work. Removing the pin strips, new LED tail lights, and shaving the trunk. Should tint the windows next. If the mrs is still mad, go pamper her, a nice movie & dinner, and finally just give her the business.

As far as the plugs go, I guess the 2 hours also included removing them 3 times. In the first Pic in post 4, you can see the right light has the brake light on while the left light just has the driving light on. I must have plugged/unplugged/bent pins on the plugs on that light 6 times! Now, who can recommend to me a BRIGHT reverse bulb? I've got the Luxer1 wedge base, but I don't think that they are bright enough.

Your ride really looks good! Have you done the led swap for the interior lights? I am looking for the 194s too, to do a swap. I am looking at alternatives out there. When you find some comparable or better than the luxer, please post info. I am interested in doing my interior. Hey, your Max looks great! Hey, wonder why the Mrs is mad. When you swap cars with her, and she is on the freeway, guys would never stop looking at a hot chick with a tricked-out ride! I bet she will love ya more then! And want to keep the car more often! Happened to me when I bought my Max brand new and let my wife drive it for 2 weeks, while I kept
her Camry.

Yes, I'm currently waiting on my LED's to arrive so I can do the gauge/button swap from orange to blue. I ordered a few LED's to see if it was a mod that I wanted to undertake, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, so I'm going to attempt it. As far as the interior bulbs, I've already replaced the vanity mirror lights, and the front dome lights. I've got an order in for the rest of the interior lights, I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I also stole my wife's white door light covers from her Altima and swapped them with the red ones from my Max. Now I just need to pick up two more for the rear doors !

I'm currently checking with a member on another forum for an alternative for the reverse lights. I'm also checking out a couple of different lights at autolumination, and V-leds...I just gotta take some measurements of the openings in the housing to make sure they will fit. I'll let you know if I find something.

My wife has an 07 Altima, and her view on cars is that "all it does is get me where I need to go". I am the one who has to keep her Altima in shape (washed/waxed/etc...) soooooooo, needless to say....she is NOT ALLOWED to drive the Max !

I've also got the C-mod grille, just haven't figured out what I want to do as far as painting it goes. Hopefully I'll decide next week, and I can get started on putting that in!

Cars > woman....I know this, my last one made me choose between the car or her. I choose her and then she ended up cheating on me and leaving me.

Now I have a Supercharged Car...this is not getting sold over a woman

HaH my wife is the same! I have to take care of her car and my car. She's been getting a funny chirping sound from her enginer in her 02 Toyota Corolla CE....I think it's the alternator and she's been complaining about it but she doesn't do anything about it.

Cars are not just about getting from POINT A to POINT B, if it were there wouldn't be so many gear heads! If you go by their logic (those who think A to B) then we would all be driving Ford Escorts...LOL and there wouldn't be all these choices.

I like those tail lights however I'm a bit too chicken to get them for my car after witnessing all my co-orgers and their problems with them....bulbs that don't work, lights that have to be returned etc....

Looks nice though!

np man, when there's a post with a lot of responses and pics, nobody wants to read through them. The problem is, when we skip right to the last couple of posts, we may miss something important/worth seeing !

Welcome to the Org...a lot of good people and info here!

You guys are joking about his wife, right? That is HIS WIFE! So, tone down the comments about choosing the car over her, throwing her in the trunk, or thinking she will cheat on him! By the way, when it comes to cheating..., you never can tell who will do it first!

IF you guys keep on with negative comments and she finds this thread and reads it, he will be starting a new thread soon...,

"AND THIS IS WHY I DIVORCED MY WIFE..."

LED tails look great man. I'm installing mine this weekend. any tips on which one of the contacts should be bent or does it depend on which one of my tails fits more loose?

Thanks for having my back, but it's all good ! I've been married for 15 years, so my wife knows good and well how I feel about the car! I only chose this thread title because my wife is ALWAYS asking me "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE THINGS ALONE"?

I bent them all before I installed them. For some reason, it wasn't good enough, and I had to keep "fiddling" with them to get them to work.
