Wheel dents, car shake

Anyone else have pretty bad problems with getting dents in lower-profiles, and resulting steering wheel/car shaking? You guys get them rewelded every time? What's the story? Geez, what a pain in my ***.

Well if you decide to get the wheels fixed. DO NOT GO TO WHEELS AMERICA!!! They removed my dent BUT poured acid all over the barrel and screwed up my lip. Now they are buying me a whole new wheel. BE CAREFUL!!!

If the dent is not visible just get your wheel balanced.

Wheel balanced or tire balanced?

Won't tire balancing be ineffective if it's not the tire but the actual wheel is actually out-of-round and therefore hits the ground non-uniformly resulting in shake?
