Ok here is my problem, I have the driver seat settings for driver 1 and driver 2 on the driver side door, well that just stopped working. Then I started to notice that my car alarm goes off at random during the day and evening. Then today I went out to open the door and hit the unlock button on my remote thing and the car beeped three times instead of two, I got inside and tried to start it and when Iturned the key the alarm started sounding and the car wouldnt start and I couldnt get the alarm to shut off or the car to start...what is going on? Is the battery in my key fob going bad? Is the car's battery going bad? Does it sound like a short in the system somewhere? Thanks

 

Sounds like you got a gremlin.



The car beeping an odd number of times could be a reminder to replace the battery in the keyfob. The other stuff i have not a clue.

 

what battery would I purchase to replace my old battery in my keyless entry? Is there a model number I can ask for?

 

Open the keyfob up and look at the battery. The battery has the size written on it.

This is the battery my 07 oem keyfob takes. Yours may or may not take the same battery. I got this battery from walmart by the photo processing counter in the back of the store.
