What do I need to do to even out my suspension heights?

Pardon me if this has been discussed many times before but for some reason, I cannot do a search as it keeps telling me that the page is unavailable. But as we all know, the 7th Gen maxima has a big gap between the front tires and wheel wells and droops pretty low in the back and it looks just plain dumb. Im not really into doing suspension mods and lowering my car and all that kind of stuff but I would however like to even out the heights. My rear end is sagging way too much and just looks really dumb when people sit in the back, what options do I have for the rear suspension so raise it by like 2 inches?

SE or SL? SL have softer suspension and most of them end up sagging. Get stiffer struts and it should help the sag but the factory front gap will stay.

I've heard here that there's no difference between the SL and SE suspension. It's the 17 vs 18 inch rims that stiffens the ride, that's it. Again, I recall that from this board, I don't know if that's true or not.

Struts or shocks do not control ride height, springs do that.

They sell a few items for this, look at coil spring spacers, they are a rubber like, they go inbetween the springs. there is also a u shaped clamp, not sure the name that but most car part stores have them(its also considered a spacer) it basically forces the rings higher. check it out http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MR...5&autoview=sku

here is the clamp style one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-1280/

Mine does, but I have a heavy stereo box... but with any weight the rear sags like's crazy, IMO the rear springs are too soft.

Does anyone know what lowering the front (or rear, or both) does to the geometry of steering, braking from high speeds, the car's general handling at higher speeds, etc.?). I would think one would want answers to such questions before performing what I would certainly consider to be a major modification...Does anyone know the answers to these questions beyond their personal impressions?

Don't lower just the front. The car handles better with front and back springs. Front springs only will give you a better view over the hood but you will feel like your tilting down and when you brake you'll slide foward

I haven't lowered my Maxima, but I have owned both stock and lowered Supras and the difference is significant. Better handling, stiffer ride, more stress on the steering rack, and the front tires wear unevenly (on the inside). The front end doesn't align very well. It would be interesting to see what the wear-n-tear would be on a Max thats been lowered for 5 years.
