I think your brakelight fuse could be out. Happened to my Prelude before.

You have a manual or auto? the same **** happen in my auto and I discovered it was the Brake light sensor. There's 2 sensors that pop up when u press on the brake. One is for Cruise control and the lower one is the brake light. If the car senses the brake light is not on. The shifter will not be released. It's probably loose or something. I had mine replaced for 40 bucks through courtesynissan.com

please help

At a stop sign, my car would not accelerate. The engine was revving but the car was stationary. I look down and my gauges aren't working properly: 1) fuel tank reads empty 2) thermostat reads cold 3) odometer and speedometer are "dead"; 4) a/c is inoperable 5) car will not shift gears.

i had to move my car to the side of the road by removing the shift lock.

please help.
