Help Please...High idle

When I start my 05 max, after like a 50 degree night and 12 hours of no use, the idle starts at 2000 rpms and takes several minutes to go down. Isn't that way too high? Any advice or feedback would help please.

My 07 has done the same since i bought it with 4k miles on it. Dealership told me it was normal. I just give it about 30-45 seconds then put it in gear unless its really cold then i let it run with the heat on for 5 minutes. Rpms drop as it smoothly goes into gear.
