Sound clip of my 3" single exhaust.

I know I have been lagging on getting this done.

Back pressure is over rated anyway.

Does a good job of keeping the resonance down.

The funny thing is, I've broken three 3rd-4th shift forks from shifting like that and yet I still do it....

Did you manage to get a better pic of the header/y-pipe section to show us what your guy did to connect the stock manifold with the custom collector? I am trying to picture it in my head, but the pic of the y-pipe and the J-bend is totally throwing me off. lol

Sorry, all the pics I have. Basically I used the stock y-pipe up to the flex sections(like 8" after the manifolds), after that its all custom. Didn't buy new flex sections, so he couldn't make new bends there.

So is there gonna be any before and after dyno info that shows this is actually produces gains?

It seems like the loss of back pressure would hurt HP rather than raise it.

I love how everyone always talks about back pressure.

There are dynos on 5.5 gens that show that the 3" produces more power than 2.5" exhausts.

The whole back pressure thing is a myth that just won't go away.

Amazing sound from the front and the back. On your video what you hear in the begining is the CAI. After when you pass the camera you hear the sounds coming from the muffler....there is a nice clean growl to the whole thing. I have a similar setup with the Block Off Plate, spacers, AEM CAI, UDP, and custom exhaust down pipe with the resonator removed going to the original mufflers and I've been told I sound a lot like a G35/37 in the back...however from the front when I floor it the sound is awesome. I love tunnels....I see people's reactions all the time. They're looking in their Rear View mirror for the Rice Rockets (Bikes) or small sports cars....then when I pass them...LOL!
Usually doing 60 to 70...not more than that.

Been running a 3" single on my Altima 3.5 and it sounds about the same.

Back-pressure, even on N/A cars, is the enemy! Less back-pressure = better exhaust scavenging = more power. On a VQ at least. Don't believe the bull**** about "burnt valves" or that no back-pressure hurts power.
