Need Better Strut Mounts?

For the 3rd time, changed my strut mounts as the KYB strut mounts are made from balsam wood. KYB declined to honor my warranty, or at least rockauto.com declined. Any ways, I changed them to the Master Pro Strut mounts and wow what a difference. The bearings actually look durable with a cushion to help prevent breaking like the KYB ones did. Very happy and recommend. Only have about a week on them so will update down the road as well.

Master Pro part # FM1334

Make sure you follow the torque specs on tightening the bolts as they are as follows:
Strut shaft bolt 55 ft/lbs
Strut bolts to chassis 35 ft/lbs
Strut knuckle bolts to control arm 110 ft/lbs

Hope this helps to augment out terrible suspensions.

Nice. I just replaced one of mine with OEM. I figured it was ok for 6 years, and it was only $24, so why not.

Consider yourself unlucky! lol

popa, yes, it's always a good idea to replace the mounts when upgrading the suspension. I didn't do that, but I guess I got lucky and had some good OEM mounts, seeing as how only one has failed so far, after 6 years.
