Lightweight battery options

Hi, I am in need of a new battery so I was looking for something lighter than the stock one. I was looking at the braille 2317 but was told it wouldnt work. Dont know why it wouldnt. Any suggestions? I drive my car only on the weekends and live in Louisiana so it doesnt get real cold here. Thanks.

He uses the small battery from one of those portable jump-starter things. Light and cheap.

I think DeusExMaxima used a Braille battery for the track and had problems starting his car. Search for his lightweight battery threads.

I have a Braille carbon fiber battery that weighs 6 lbs. Its only good for racing. I used it in street driving for a couple weeks, but any drain on the battery would make it difficult to start the car. Id suggest a lighter battery than came in the car. The OEM battery weighs about 50 lbs. I have a 28 lb battery that works just fine and is 22 lbs lighter. I dont have the model number off the top of my head but I did a thread on it with the details.

Braille and Odyssey both make awesome lightweight batteries. I had a Odyssey that lasted 3 years and now I am using a Braille with no problem. I got mine from tirerack.com.
