Unable to avoid a deep pothole = fail. Dented Greddy...
I was behind this pretty big truck so I couldn't see far up ahead. Then this huge **** pothole from hell was fast approaching...I couldn't swerve fast or far enough to avoid it (cars were besides me on either lanes)...I slowed down and BAM. The driver side muffler probably clipped the edge of the pothole pretty hard and dented it in, and somehow breaking the exhaust hanger bracket in the process...
Now the driver side hangs lower than passenger...also gotta get a new bracket and see if I can somehow hammer out that dent a bit...

yeah, i was trying to get pass up this car and over to the other lane. guess that plan backfired when i got too close to the truck in front of me.

It doesn't look that bad if you think about it, just make sure you get the bracket bc it will be one problem after another with your exhaust hanging like that, 2nd thought you should go to the city or dept of transportation and make them reimburse you for your damages to your vehicle for their ragedy roads

that same S@@T happened to me last year, Broke one of my rims, had to drive the max with 3 chrome rims and one stocker for like 9 months Ghetto Style....
But anyway i went through all the process of trying to get the city to pay for it, and GOOD LUCK, basically they require you to use your collision first, then they have a bunch of loopholes you have to jump through with their insurance company basically making it totally un practical for you to ever get any money from them...
Im sure each city is different, but im sure no city is just gonna hand out a check

not sure if there's anything like that, but i'll look into it. that pothole was pretty nasty...i'm sure it f*cked up a lot of cars traveling in that area. last year, i hit another big pothole...this was the result:
dented the damn rim and caused a flat. Houston really needs to take care of the roads!

Yeah that does suck... doesn't look like it's too bad though... the exhaust hanger is an easy 5 minute fix at any muffler shop. As for the muffler, I dunno... a towel around that little lip, and take some wide pliers to it to try and straighten it out?

Dont feel bad i hit one the other day. My passenger tire busted, my rim bent, and now im getting some rattling noise from that side. I got a new tire and the rim unbent but that clicking is going to kill me.
