i have a 2005 maxima SL im wondering did these cars all come equiped with the satelite radio or ?? i have the sat button on the dash but when pressed it just says "No Sat". do i just need to call and get it hooked up or is there a specific number i need off the reciever and how can i tell without takin apart the whole dash if i need a reciever?? please if someone can help me out much appreciated

 

there are a number of good threads on this if you search. most are prewired, and if yours is prewired you need to install the receiver in the rear deck. maybe you already have a receiver installed, but of course either way you have to pay for a subscription.

 

Ya I had a subscription to XM but had to install the receiver...once you have receiver you can control the XM through the SAT button

 

Go go to the dealer or call up the Nissan 800 number and have them check your vin number to see if it's wired.

 

I have a sticker on the driver door panel saying my car is wired. Where exactly do you plug in the receiver?
