Please Need Help Radio Not Working

Whats up ORG...

My 2005 Maxima SE still has no sound. I checked every wire I pulled the radio nothing was loose nothing was pinched nothing was spliced. I pulled the AMP disconnected it nothing worked. I finally resorted to getting a new Bose AMP from someone from NYC Org... Well I just tried it and nothing still no sounds coming from my speakers. Now I'm getting a popping noise from my radio or when I touch the power wire so I still don't think that all the speakers are blown... But I'm starting to think that the radio is no good.. Any help suggestions on what I can do or try? I've tried everything I could think of to fix this problem. Does anyone know any tricks or if this is a common problem with this radio?

Thanks
Joe

Is your radio is on and no sound??

If so, the popping noise you here might be coming from one speaker. Try to listen for which speaker it is. It is probably bad or grounded out somewhere.

Radio turns on everything seems to work. The LCD screen switches from FM/AM CD no problem but when doing so sometimes I might get a light popping noise from the speakers when I press to go to a different mode. But no sound is coming from any speakers... I've changed the AMP and still nothing.. My only other thing to try or do is to change the radio itself... I've checked all wiring in the back and in the AMP nothing seems wrong

Is the popping coming from all speakers or just one?

My factory HU cuts out on the left side once in awhile, I smack the console and it comes right back on.

It a known Nissan problem, bad solders.

Try a little smack action and see what happens...

Popping sound

This just happened to me this past spring. Same popping sound, then the sound would come on. After a while the popping and cracking would not play at all, and eventually the music stopped.

"I can't remember if I cried...but something touched me deep inside, the day the music died" - McLean, American Pie

Worst yet, I took it to the dealer, they spent 1.5h, only charged me for 0.5h (GoAuto's Ericksen Nissan, Edmonton) and the burnt out the 20A fuse under the hood. That keeps the system coming on, but there's still something wrong with the amp.

Did you get anywhere with this yet?

To me it seem like your head unit going bad... It happend to me and had to say bye bye to the head unit. Replace it with after market rado and see it will be the fix to your problem. --Before you do that test it out with someone else radio.
