You are right. But guess what? I would think he has been reading the thread too. And if he had been reading the thread, he would have seen that we have talked time and again about buying this bumper and giving it to him. So, I don't understand why he is not mentioning the fact that people have talked and called his name on this thread asking him to come and say something about getting this bumper we wish to buy.
Since he has not mentioned it, I can say he has not been reading the thread. But if he can read the thread he will see that some of us are willing to buy the bumper for him. I still have my $10 ready to contribute. I mean, I know giving up $10 is not going to make me go broke. Atleast, I know I am contributing for a cause that hopefully will yeild some good results.

i did read ALL the thread and i already know you guys said you would chip in for a bumper but there's no harm in checking to see if i can find one locally instead of paying for a new one, plus shipping, etc...chances are i WILL need you guys to chip in for one since you dont see many newer maximas in junk yards.

The lip is 225 shipped so means i would have to collect $22.50 from 10 people to purchase this and then add $11 each to cover the cost of the bumper so $33.50 in total plus 3% for paypal fees.
Given we still have the 10 people interested, i'll start collecting deposits on monday.

Unless more people step up, this project is not going to go anywhere. I give it until next Friday(4/2/10). If we don't have 10 people by then, Im just going to back out and do my own.

Why don't you show us very well? Take more pics and put in your album? Or post a couple of pics on this thread? Or do you have a cardomain page? Post link so we can see more pics.
And give some more details to help us know exactly if its from coupe or 4-door.

i simply cannot purchase these parts out of my own pocket; there's been way too many instances in which i do with the promise of at least 10 people only to never even collect 5.
Honestly, I am thinking this will scare some diehard fans of this lip. I did not know we had to contribute $32.50 a piece. Are the guys on the list aware of this? I'm just saying. It went from $10 to $22.50 to $32.50. That is a little high, honestly. Well, let the other guys chime in on this fact and let us see. This is high, but I will contribute my own $32.50, if there are 9 other guys willing to pay it too.

He also has to buy the lip. How do you expect anyone to make this if they don't have a bumper and a lip. The bumper will run around $125 and the lip is $225. You follow??? I hope so, How much is that total??? Like what, $350??

If there is anything I should say, it is, you should kindly stop using curse words where they are not called for. Without going towards arguing back and forth like girls, I will be a mature gen and say, re-read my post. I did not curse in my post. Neither did I bash at anyone for whatever reason.
It says in simple plain english that you can read and write. "This is high, but I will contribute my own $32.50, if there are 9 other guys willing to pay too." So, it would be nice of you to include my name on the list.
I expect all of us on here are very mature, and atleast are friendly towards each other. Let us be respectful towards each other.
It takes a lot for someone to dedicate their time, money and energy to carry out a project like this for a group. Sometimes, the person goes a long way to make personal financial sacrifices through personal investment into his work. Other times, like in this situation, we come together and lend a helping hand to make it easier to achieve our goal.
So to Cali and all involved one way or the other, working towards the realization of this project, I congratulate all and I would be glad to contribute to the best of my ability. Keep up the good work.

Im a man of my word and said that Friday April 2nd, I would back out if there we didn't have 10 people. I see no more interest in this and we have had plenty of time to get 10 people, so Im out. I will make my own lip. My friend will still make it for you guys if you guys come up with 10 people any time soon. I did all I can do to get this project going but with folks not wanting to take a chance and step up, I can't force people. Good luck guys!!

Fine! Be that way...lol Come on guys, 3 more people. Also, that 32.50 is not extra, it will be deducted from the final price. The reason my guy has not been able to give a final price is because he needs to get the bumper and lip first and see what's involved in making it work with our 6.5 fronts. Once he gets those two, he will let us know. It will not be very expensive though, but considering that there are no good looking lips out there, why not be part of the first 10 to have this sweet a$$ lip?
The only issue I see in making this lip is this. The Altima has a round bumper, all around. Our Maxima has that piece where the opening is that sticks out, where the bottom grill is. Other then that, everything is the same, even the body lines that go around the fender match, that's why I want this lip. It will look almost like it came that way and it wraps around the outside, not on the bottom like the other one. I have had experince with Fiberglass in front and that low and the end result is not pretty. All it takes is oe time to miss something and it's cracked and done.

Ok. If 2 other people would commit to buy this lip, I will pay . I know its not fair but atleast we will have this started. Im just trying to help get it going. I would rather see/have this lip than the other one.
