HID Auto feature

I use the auto light feature for my 2008 Maxima so my lights come on automatically and I don't remember having an issue before. But after I got my HID kit installed sometimes when I first start my car one side does not come on? It changes also which makes me wonder because its not always just the driver side or passenger, sometimes even both. Also, after I notice if I just turn them off then turn back on they will come on. Anyone else have this issue?

its because there is a major fluctuation in voltage as your car starts. I just torn my non-OEM hid's off before i start my car then flip them on. Its like second nature for me now. I am sure there is a way to wire in a little capacitor by smooth the voltage out.

I am sure someone on here has the answer on this but obviously the cars with oem hid's dont have this problem and the ones without do once you swap hids in. What exactly is the difference?

well, if you had to do that kinda means that the problem probably is the hid set up itself... maybe the ballasts.. probably nothing to do with the car....

if you wired your fogs straight to your headlights then you should be good, i had the same problem with the auto feature myself. When the lights turned off after i got out of my car they all turned off fine but after i got back in with the auto feature at night my fogs would flicker, like they werent getting enough voltage. I solved that by getting an inline 20 amp fuse on each positive (+) wire then ran a ground to the frame not using the black wire from the headlights. PROBLEM SOLVED!

My left side wouldn't come on or when it did, the lighting output would be lower than the right side. I decided to get a set of 8k from a group deal. I was expecting them to be a lot brighter but they're not. The left side is still lower than the right side. I don't know what to do.
