eBay Intelli key
#2
I dont think you can go anywhere else but the Dealer to program the keys for 07-08 maybe wrong but could not find anyone who did it. I had to drop 2+bills at the dealer for this. The Key wiht chip is like $30 the remote itself is $107 (eek, they dont sell together as one unit) Then the program is $95. A note for you, I had an extra remote but i was told by the dealer (maybe i got screwed, Idk) but he said that the remote was for an Altima and it wont work. I was a little upset because its the exact same remote, and i just think you can reprogram it right?. Apparently NO as i was told, iDK but if you buy one from Ebay, they usually say "altima, maxima, etc" but according to the dealer its different so be careful and good luck. I guess the most you are out is 30 bucks for a ebay one.

My car came with only 1 key -- bought a 2nd intelligent key from eBay back in Dec but still havent gone to the dealer to have it programmed (will go in the coming weeks since the weather is better now lol)
You can buy it from eBay, just make sure its the correct FCC number & that it has an uncut key. For the 2007 Maxima I see 2 diff part numbers in the ebay auctions: KR55WK48903 and CWTWBU735 -- my 07 came with CWTWBU735 so I bought that one (I'm pretty sure the 07-08 Maxima uses CWTWBU735 and 07+ Altima uses KR55WK48903 but check your current key's FCC number and buy the same one)
You can have them cut & programmed at dealers or some locksmiths have the equipment to do it. Dealers might charge up to a full hour of labor ($130-$140) -- I found one dealer that wanted to charge half hour labor ($65) so I plan on going there later on. The locksmiths that were able to program intelligent keys wanted $75-$90
