Hey guys,

So I have an 07 Maxima, which is OEM except for the mufflers, which are Cattmans. I just did a trade for the 06 OEM mufflers, because no one had 07s. The pipes seem to align.... but i'm not sure what i'm supossed to do about the hangar!

The cattmans on my 07 have a bar welded to the top, which slides into a "rubber" hole like hangar attached to the vehicle... so it "hangs."

However, the 06 OEM mufflers, don't have any type of bar welded to it, it's just the muffler.

Am I missing something???

This is what you are missing:



As you can see, the brackets are bolted on to the muffler, totally different from the 06's you have.

If you are gonna have a muffler shop to do install I'm sure they can fabricate a hangar for you.

 

Yeah just go to any muffler shop... if you have a small one with a bunch of papis working there, you could probably get it done for $20-30.
