AC shot, need help.

So a friend of mine, his AC is shot. its not that cold air doesnt come out. NO air comes out at all, but he said sometimes it goes on and off on its own. Anyone know whats wrong? Could it be a loose wire or something?Your input is appreciated. thanks.

Are you saying the fan doesn't blow air into the cabin?

Theres no air at all, no air blowing period. However, there are times that it does blow air. kinda weird.

I agree, sounds like a short, but a faulty fuse would be easy to look for. Not sure where the one is for the fan motor, but it's either under the hood, or drivers side dash. Look in the manual for the blower motor fuse to narrow it down...

Could also be a a faulty fan motor. That's also presuming this is the only thing wrong. You haven't remarked about the refrigerant system and weather the lines get cold or not/compressor kicks on, things like that...time to get dirty.
