New motor in!!!!

Sooo got my new motor installed as well as all mounts..clutch..and getting new cats as we speak. Old motor blew I found out because of the cat being clogged AND i Guess overheated the block and yeah. Well it had 155,000 miles on it, it was time. Once I had the timing chains done it was never the same, timing was slightly advanced and I was loosing oil fast, found out it was the rear main seal right where the transmission goes to, it was leakin pretty bad. The new motor looks great, no leaks. I need to get the Ypipe cat and probably the 2 others, I am thinking of getting them off a junked car think this is a good idea? I dont wanna spend so much money if I dont have to, or any other ideas anyone??

is Nissan doing this ? was it under warranty ?

thats how I got my motor from a murano , cats were clogged and overheated with 15K miles on it which is a common issue.

get a set of Ebay SE-R or Maxima headers if you want to elinmate the pre-cats

check the vin # on the engine to see if the mileage is true.
getting a warranty on the engine doesn't hurt either

No it wasnt under warranty, I had my shop do it, didnt know the reason why until they put the new motor and saw that it had no power, only to disconnect the cat and it ran freely. so now iam confused, if I buy the ebay catback exhaust, and buy the ebay headers to eliminate the precats, what else do I have to replace? I know there is the radiator side and firewall side cats, are they the precats? Where are all the components at??

Is there anything one can do to avoid this besides gutting the cats or deleting them......or buying new ones if really not needed.....

Did you get any signs of the impending failure or was it sudden?

there was no sign..i mean the car was eating some oil and putting out smoke when i floored it but other than that ran fine..one day the power just died and wouldnt run right. Now as far as parts I think I am gonna go aftermarket, but I am very confused on what to get. I want to get rid of all the old cats and either replace them or put aftermarket parts on. I am looking at the ebay catback exhaust, which I believe includes the Ypipe, now if I buy CustomMaxima headers is that replacing any of the cats?
