U P G R A D E S

Brakes was chirpin' like a ****. Decided to upgrade everything. Powerstop rotors with evolution ceramic brake pads.

After much delay, I finally had the Hella horns installed. These bad boys are loud, OE horn pales in comparison. Not my vid but this is how it sounds like:

Nice upgrade. I got a question for you since I drive an 08 SE too. Tell me, how many miles do you have now? I am just trying to see when I might need to change mine. Though mine still works great! I had my rotors resurfaced once and my brakes went back to like new and it is still working great.

Where did you get the horns and the brake kit? Are the horns just a simple plug and play? Did you change your brake fluid and add stainless steel lines or just the basics?

LOOKS GOOD!!

I bought the rotors and pads here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...ht_3210wt_1167

They were installed this past Monday and still have < 100 miles on them. Brakes feel pretty good so far, no issues to report.

The Hella's were bought here:

http://www.fixThisRide.com/showprodu...?prod_id=89724

This was not a plug and play item. I took it to Best Buy where my friend works and he installed it for me for $30. It was like installing an aftermarket headunit, almost took him 2 hrs. to do it. I still have the option of using the OE horn, all I have to do is swap the relay wire, but why would I want to do that? I painted the frame to match the color of my car, that red stuck out like a terd in a punch bowl.
Overall I'm very happy especially with the brakes. I will keep you guys posted cuz I think it's still in its break-in process.

Brotha you know I want this but I'm gonna have install issues with this bar and my amps. I don't want to move my amps. Can you use some type of spacers i.e washers so it would not hit my amps? Will the bar lose its effectiveness if I do this? Suggestions please.

Hello fellow Maxima owners.

First off I apologize Gollum67 for butting in on your thread but I cannot make a new post of my own.

My question is this.

I am looking into a 4-door car and I have it narrowed down to a 2007 Maxima SL or a 2007 Acura TL type-S

Even thou both cars weigh in at almost the some lbs I find the Maxima a nicer ride where the TL has the better looking interior and exterior.

More so Im looking for something with performancer, have any of you in here raced TL Type-S and won, or was able to stay toe to toe ?

Just what kinda Mods can be done to the Maxima for all I have found so far is Exaust and Cold air that migh push a 2007 Maxima up by 25-30hp.

Love the d/s rotors. Always a nice touch, I also like your caliper color choice.
