Exhaust Resonators Feedback

Sup guys,

So currently I have the magnaflow 14816 mufflers on my 6.5 gen. I just ordered the racingline y pipe & soon will be buying the cattman b pipe. What did you guys do with the resonator? Did you replace the stock resonator or did you keep it?

I've done some search and a few say they like the way it sounds and then others state its a unbearable sound and they end up going with the stock resonator. I see there are different sizes of resonators also.

Which would be the best resonator to go with that is not bad to live with lol.

I removed my resonator all together and the drone sound that everyone thinks is crazy loud, is not. The only time I hear that is when Im in 6th gear going 80 with the windows up but even then it's not too bad. It was a little loud when I first did it but it tuned itself I guess, because now it sounds great and different then when I first did it. Only advice I can give you is to try it yourself, if you don't like it, go back to a resonator. Only way to know is to try. If I would have listened to everyone that told me not to do it, I would end up spending more money and still not get the sound I want. It's a matter of preference. Good luck in your decision bud.

Any kind of resonator that looks like this inside should do the trick for you:

SMALL PERFORATED HOLES

PIC OF THE NISMO RESONATOR
