hey whats up guys as you can see from the title my car is sloow.
i have an 04 6 speed with about 113k and it has no power, no ses light, no power, no nothing, no power did i mention NO POWER!!

when im waiting for the light and then go the car feels like it started in 2nd instead of 1st, this has been happening for about two weeks but this weekend on the highway i went to pass a truck i was in 3rd gear and it felt like i was in 5th- that pissed me off! but it only last till 3000-3200 rpm after that its like a rocket no matter what gear im in.

i dont think its the clutch because i just got it replaced in dec. 09 and not like the car reving and not going anywhere theres just no power i dont know what else it could be
maybe spark plugs but it idles fine

please help i love this car and i dont wanna get rid of it

pull the OBD2 scanner from autozone , check for SES ligjhts

its either your in limp mode or could be a tranny issue

 

but my ses light isnt on. will it even through a code even though theres no ses light?

 

yea sometimes it can just have fuze... so just get it checked

Since it has 113K miles... has the spark plugs been changed? When was the last major tune-up you have done to the car?

 

well i recently reset the ecu by using the ignition trick and its driving a lot better but still not what it used to be
every once in a while it'll do it in first but thats it


to The6spdMax- i actually bought the car last year with 93,000 so i pretty sure the spark plugs werent change, since they last 100k, but im saving up for a tune up and fix the timing change tensioner (its clicking) hope fully this works

i was also talking to my mechanic and he told me it might be a cloged cat since i did the seafoam treatment. i told him that i didnt get that much smoke and he said the cat probably grabed everything so it might be cloged but he cant be sure since theres no ses light
that is really pissing me off
