Long overdue update.. new mods coming soon

As some of you know we have been working on developing some New high flow precats. We finally got around to doing some dyno testing and so are are very pleased by the results. We've still got some playing around to due as our test car was running very very rich and losing power BEFORE we installed any parts on the car but initial testing has shown

- similar power gains compared to headers ( +8whp/ 14tq on a car that already had a catless ypipe installed [typical gain of 13hp for a ypipe])
- faster install than headerl, our first attempt while taking measurements was installed in 4 hours, second install was just over 3hrs (headers can easily run 8-12 hours install time. If your paying for the install thats alot of extra cash spent on installation)
- no CEL-- 50+ miles of mixed driving and several ignition cycles over the last 4 days
- no need to relocate o2 sensors (maintaining proper voltage)
- easier to pass emissions
- less rasp and noise compared to headers

Cats are made from metal core based cats and are full stainless steel, the metallic cores will be stronger and more resistant to failure from the rich mixtures the VQ is known run. Details and images below.... As mentioned the test car is running very very rich and loosing power in general, but for the sake of consistency we did not try to fix the issue for now.

That said, the average of 3 runs posted:
205.69whp/206.06tq as a baseline. nismo cai + RL Ypipe

HF cats installed on the same dyno/operator/correction etc posted:
213.56whp/219.9tq Nismo cai+RL Y + RL HFC's

Results were done without an ecu reset or any other attempt to clean the fuel maps up. In both the baseline and HF cat test the car was running AFR's in the 10's by 5400rpm, so the car needs some tuning to get it's numbers back up to normal. We suspect that a reset ecu and some new o2's and the car will be making alot more power and so will the cats.

But the goal was to see min 8hp and we got that. Unexpected was the near 14tq gain seen pretty much across the entire rpm range. Price is not yet set but expect a full set (2 cats) to be 460-500 range

listen to the exhaust note before they punch it.... . RL Y, RL HFC, stock ser exhaust mmmmmm. Those of you with the Nismo system will get a similar tone

Present test was done on an Altima SER which shares the same cats as 6spd Maximas and CVT maximas. We will be testing an automatic maxima very soon as well will have more updates to both the project and the cars state of tune later on in the week
