quick and cheap Ipod hook up on OEM radio's
Not sure how many of you know this... but you can buy a cassette adapter that goes into our tape decks and the other end plugs into your Ipod, Iphone or pretty much any MP3 player.. and although the sound is not amazing, it is pretty decent... way better than those things that work through your FM radio...
And they cost like 3 bucks! good cheap alternative...

i have always used this. i primarily use my Sirius. but grabbed my cassette adapter from my sony discman i got in 98 to use with my ipod.
you 07 and 08 owners, um pretty sure you have an input jack. so why say you don't have a cassette deck? just plug it in that way.

lol, nice one bro --> too bad I can't find this cassette adapter in Toronto(Toronto sucks like that) -- I might have to 5 finger discount the one my cousin in-law in Jersey is using on her CRV (or just grab one when I go there in a few months) whatever is easier

Raz, too funny. Obviously you, and several others on here, are much younger than I am.... its an "8" track. Now, I feel old. I remember buying my first album, it was KISS on an 8 track. Now I'm gonna go drink myself into a coma b/c I'm so depressed.

i am a big fan of the cassette adapter - i use it in my 03 and they bring crystal clear audio to your radio (depending on source material, of course) if you can find a way to make the wire dangling out look nice it pays dividends bc FM modulators lose TONS of kbps on the way to your radio but the cassette is perfect
also, i would LOVE to see someone mount a mini8 under a maxima dash and hook it in the aux port!

I was wondering what options i have without putting in a new stereo. I would love to just install an iput with 3.5mm jack.....
Thanks

I'm having the same issue with my cassette adapter in my '05... thought that it was the adapter & complained to the guy I bought it from on eBay and he sent me another one for free and it's doing the same thing (sounds like it's fast-forwarding & I can't get it to stop). If I could get it to act right long enough, I guess I could try to clean the heads on it and hopefully get my MP3 player to work on it. I plan on using that Bose until I completely get tired of the sound, but it'll do for now...
Thanks for your help in advance!

The stock (non-BOSE) system must have some pretty good speakers and speaker surrounds for the system to sound so good without an amplifier. It's ridiculous!
Also, at the place where I bought my pioneer deck, the guy that sold me the stuff was a previous altima owner, and has done a TON of work on Altimas, G-35's, and 6th Gen maximas. He answered EVERY single question I had. I was LUCKY to run into him!
