I have a 2005 maxima SE 6speed. My issue is that my car will struggle in idle and eventually shut off. has anyone had a similar issue or have an idea what can cause this problem?

 

my problem with my shut off on a Honda because of the idle air control valve. =/

but I haven't had the prioblem on the Maxima. I would assume,, that it may be similar. My engine turned off when i Made a turn and almost hit the curb. geee.. good luck!

 

there is an idle air control learning procedure. I recommend doing that and see if it still happens. make sure you don't have an intake leak somewhere. that is a huge culprit to these type of issues.

 

I did replace my Intake with an Injen CAI and checked it out the other day but it didn't look like that was the issue. Also checked the filter to make sure its not damaged. I was getting a P0441 code for the EVAP and checked the evap canister and didn't find an issue with that. I did find a bad vent control valve and changed it but that won't help my issue with the car dieing and I still have a SES light on.
