clutch pedal

Sometimes my clutch pedal does not fully dis-engage when I remove my foot after shifting. Simply a spring?

I have a problem with my clutch coming out towards the bottom on my 05 maxima, but it engages fully close to the top...is this normal or is clutch wearing down?
