Replacing Engine pulleys belts.

Did a search and to no avail it seems we're missing alot of servicing quesetions. Just curious if anyone has replaced the engine pulleys. I'm referring to the Water pump, alternator, and idler belts. After looking at the engine bay, the easiest way to access everything is to remove the passenger wheel and the splash shields. Will that expose the pulleys and allow better access for replacing the belts and adjusting the tension?

I just had to adjust both of my belts. One was loose, and the other was too tight. The belts would squeal when you first engaged the AC. I removed the front passenger wheel, and the splash shield. Once I figured out how to loosen the adjuster pulley's, everything was very easy. It took me longer to figure out how to loosen the pulleys than it did to actually adjust the belts. Now....no more squealing! As far as replacing the pulleys go...I'm not sure if you would need a puller to get any of the pulley off. If so, you're not going to be able to get a puller onto all of the pulleys...not enough room...so you may end up having to remove some things.

UDP threads are usually good place to start. They give a good general idea/view.

Ya was wondering, i'm mainly looking at the Nissan Preferred maintenance, and it recommends to replace the engine belts and the even the radiator hoses at 60K miles. I don't have any issues with squealing, etc but I guess I have an idea of how I am going to be able to inspect the condition of the belts. As much as I love my car and despite having the resources to do the majority of the work myself. I must admit our cars seem to be alot more work than Toyota or Honda. Wife is really complaining alot more about the time spent in maintaining the car.
