It seems even after searching no one knows the exact coolant we should get for our cars. Should I just get it from the dealership already? I'm going to be doing a flush very this weekend.

 

I think Maximas come with the Nissan long life coolant from the factory. It looks like the usual green colored coolant. I got a gallon jug from the dealership for $22 (I believe), but it's undiluted. So if you mix it with a gallon of distilled water, it comes out to be $22 for 2 gallons of 50/50; about the same as Prestone or Peak. So why not just get Nissan brand?

Yup, JaTaN has hit the nail on the head. Don't mess around. Anything other than these two will gum up your waterworks...destroy your water-pump and possibly cook your engine. You change this stuff every three years, so don't be cheap about it.
