suspension issues!
suspension issues!
well heres my issue now...I had kyb's put on with the eibachs...3 days later the rear left shock sounded like a rattling spray paint can. I brought it back to the shop and apparently it was something with the mount (used the same sleeve from the oem shocks and struts). Had them fix it and nonetheless days later the sound came back again..any little crack i hit in the road it goes crazy. Most annoying sound ever! it literally sounds like someone put a spray paint can in a bucket in my trunk! lol. My mechanic tried tighting it up but it still comes back..... Then my tranny has just been shot for a long time so my suspension has been taking a real beating cuz i been having to drive it around...then a couple days after that my tires in the front started to lose air fast..took a look and the inside of my tires in front and just gettin so worn out that they are tearing apart. I have been hearing a clicking and feeling a knock in the steering wheel when i cut the wheel left..My mechanic at one point said that front right inner tie rod had to be changed but then when i brought it back there he said that it was fine.. Im hoping someone would have some suggestions to get me out of this. I have been thinking of just switching to coilovers all around instead of the lowering springs and kyb's, or just getting some monroe's to sit with the eibachs...i was lookin on racingline's website and seen that they now sell traction rods. http://racinglineperformance.com/sho...&idcategory=25.. I wasnt sure how much help that would have in my case. I would think i would have to get all new bushings, check the control arms, cv shafts, tie rods and just all around suspension...but would coilovers eliminate a lot of my problems as far a shocks and struts? and what can i do about the front of my suspension knocking and clicking when i cut the wheel and tearin up the inside of my tires?
sorry to hear that bro
I would go the Racingline route since your tech guy did not locate anything wrong. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
I have the KYB/Progress set-up and have not had any issues yet...
I have heard a few of the guys having some issues with the Eibach's (knowcking etc etc) hence why i went the Progress route (not sure if the Eibach's are giving you the headache or the KYB's to be quite honest with you).
Hope everything works out for the best man

Rear shock niose is an install issue or a bad mount/bushing.
Front tire inside wear is most likely caused by not having your front end aligned after it's been lowered.
I'd be looking for a new mechanic to solve your issues.
