soo.. when I accelerate, it somewhat jerks like jumps the gun for a quick second. then stuck on 3500 rpms, then it feels like it seriously takes dive down back to 1500 rpms. ugh! Nissan said it wasn't the tranny 2 weeks ago, but honestly, it feel like it's getting worse!! my CVT light is suppose to kick on , but instead the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came on and per the manual, it's says that the CVT can be running improperly? and she passed the NIssan point inspection. hopefully it's a faulty sensor! ACK!

WHO HAS A 6.5 GEN I CAN TEST DRIVE to COMPARE or SEE HOW THE CVT is really SUPPOSE TO FEEL!?!?!? =(

Wow, really strange. First time hearing that. How about you PM people in CA, close to you and ask them to drive your car and say what they think. Though your idea sounds good, it is best for the person you meet to instead drive your car so he could tell you what he thinks is different from his own car which does not have that problem.

Just browse some threads to see people in the CA area. I know they would be more than willing to help. If you drive to meet them.

Goodluck. I hope you get it resolved.

the 08 that are available are not common in the area when i checked. i'll figure something out. sucks that the 6.5 gen trannies are different than the 7th gen. this would be a lot easier tocope with. lol.

thanks all for your input. wish me luck.

Good luck. You said that 08's aren't as available in the area..........how about an 07? The two years are basically identical. I think the only real difference is in the features.

If you have some sort of warranty still on your vehicle then you can take it to the dealership and they got you covered.

the 07 leases are pretty much out of the picture. those sold quick. lol. the 08 are the ones im waiting for . the tranny's cover up to 120 k miles or 10years so i'm not trippin on it, i just wnated to test drive a car with the same CVT so i can figure out if it's truly garbage or not. * sigh* thanks. back to the drawing board.

What was the check engine code? P###? If we have a code, we can help point you in the right direction.
