powder coating

powder coating

has anyone had there stock rims powder coated, i ask cause i wonder if the oven temperature would change the alloy in any way, or make it weaker. the powder coating place im looking at says they put it in the oven at 450 degrees.

Rims are powder coated everyday.

It won't hurt anything.

bro i have SPRAY PAINTED RIMS and theyve been fine since the day i painted them over a year ago. so ull have no problem with the powder coating the rims

What does spray painting the rims have to do with baking them in the oven after powedercoating them?

As to the OP, you won't have any problems for the short amount of time that they should be in the oven.

But to answer your question, just make sure you have them done by someone who knows what they are doing.
