does anyone know if engine mounts are covered under warranty? 2006 maxima with 43,350 miles. I know i have only the power train warranty left.. thanks

 

Should be covered under the 5year 60000 mile power-train. Mine was covered under that.

 

Nissan dealer said that its gonna cost me like $1,100.00 to change two mounts. i don't know...that seems steep to me.

 

You should ask them why its not covered under the 5/60 power-train??? It should be I had one replaced and I do have an extended warranty however when I picked it up they said it was covered under the cars 5/60 power-train warranty. Either my Nissan service guy was clueless or maybe the one you are dealing with is clueless. Ask to talk to the service manager and get the info and call other dealers to get the scoop on the warranty coverage see what they all say. The mounts due have a connection when it comes to the motor so call 10 dealers if you have to. You shouldn't have to pay anything.
