Need help, hit a Coyote...

At least I think that's what it was. Headed to St Louis last night I plowed an animal of some sort at 85mph. Luckily it only popped the drivers corner light out of the bumper, and knocked the fender liner loose. Could had been much worse...

Question is, the entire corner light assembly pooped out. I can't figure out how to get it back in place. It looks like the assembly comes apart and is "sandwiched" into the front bumper...

Any help is appreciated.

Drop the bumper....start the reassembly and determine what clamps are broken.

Needs fender liner and the bottom piece under driving light. It looks like the corner light assembly comes apart but I can't figure out how. I'm
outta town with the car so I have no tools to really mess with it. I have the underside valence piece zip tied in place till I get home. Sucks ***.

Welp, got it home and got the corner light assembly back in.

Need a bumper cover, left side fender liner, and a bunch of those plastic push clips.

Where is the best place to find OEM stuff?

Story is that it was a small deer and was hit at 140 mph. I can't imagine trying to clean that mess up.

You're right lol. It's not bad, but I picked up a brand new bumper cover today as well as a new fender liner.

Coulda been a lot worse and glad I am getting off with just these simple fixes....

btw hitting an animal at 85mph will scare the **** out of you lol

Why? There aren't any cat pictures. My brother came down over the weekend and ran over a deer. A car a lane over from him hit it and sent it sliding across the road in front of him. He pulled over a mile later at a rest stop, got out, and said it spelled like someone was grilling a steak. No real damage but it spiderwebbed the paint on the front bumper and tore a plastic airdam off under the car.

To the OP: Did you get the new bumper cover at a dealership? If so would you mind telling me what it cost? Mine has some fairly deep scratches in it and I'm considering getting it painted or just replacing it with a new one.

I got a "new aftermarket." Built to OEM specs, but its not an actual Nissan brand bumper. I paid $100 for it brand new shipped from a local auto parts distributor. Couldn't afford to chuck over the $425 for the oem unit. This will be just fine....although I would had of course wanted to stick with oem equipment.
