Nissan's customer service has gone downhill in recent years. Just read up on this thread and all I can say is; good luck, you will need it

The Nissan transmission defect class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all U.S. consumers who purchased or leased any 2004 through 2006 Maxima, 2005 through 2006 Altima, or 2004 through 2007 Quest vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. It is seeking class certification, damages, disgorgement of profits, and injunctive relief.

A copy of the Nissan Transmission Defect Class Action Lawsuit can be read here.

The case is Howard Teba v. Nissan North America, Inc. and Nissan Motor Company, Ltd., Case No. 12-cv-00332, U.S. District Court, Central District of California, Western Division.

I got my warrantee also on my 08.

Nissan has extended the Nissan New Vehicle Limited Warranty for the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) to 10 years/120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) for CVT transmission repairs, replacement, and related towing on all 2003-2010 model year Nissan vehicles equipped with the CVT. The remainder of the powertrain warranty coverage for components other than the CVT transmission remains unchanged. All other warranty terms, limitations and conditions otherwise apply.
Please note that this is not a safety recall, and there are no safety issues relating to your Continuously Variable Transmission.
Hope it helps
I did not know any 03's came with the CVT xmission. Mine does not.

Note the phrase:"all 2003-2010 model year Nissan vehicles equipped with the CVT."
