Keyless entry keypad

http://www.courtesyparts.com/nissan-...-p-228953.html

Has anyone ever tried this? Does it work on our cars? It says '05 and later nissans but the '04 max is the same car really. It works off the same frequency as the keyfobs supposedly.

it is under xterra. I would assume it is a replacement part for those that come with it stock. you could get one if you knew how to wire it and make it work in any car....

well it seems it may come with what you need, funny max is not mentioned. i noticed some model only certain trims work. Intelligent key will not work, so that is 07+ not working.

Call them and ask.

I do not like that it is only 3M attached. wouldn't you want it molded into the car?

Well there's not supposed to be any wiring involved, you're supposed to be able to program it the same way you program our keyfobs to the car so in essence it would be like adding an extra remote, but one that works with a number combination. I just think it's strange the max isn't listed, it's comaptible with a lot of nissan models and they all use the same keyfob thing (intelligent key aside), so what's so different about the max that this wouldn't/couldn't work? As far as mounting yeah it kinda sucks that it's double sided tape, i would probably put it someplace out of sight anyway though.

The product probably is made in China and the fools don't know about the Maxima. You could order the damn thing and if it doesn't work, send it back, if they have any type of guarantee. Might be worth a try, even if it costs you the return postage, if this is something you really want for your machine.

If you decide to try it, let us know the results.
