Sunroof stopped working!

My power sunroof in my 2004 Maxima SE just stopped working. it will raise up, but it will not slide open. When I move the switch, it just does nothing. Anyone else have this happen? is there a fuse for the sunroof I should check?

I have that happen on occasion....just hold the forward part of the tilt button (the side you press to close the tilt) for about 15 seconds or so and let go...then slide the switch....it should work....this is how I do that in the 2002 Max.....hope that helps.

re: wow

Been awhile since I've been in here (Maxima is running well). Found this thread happily as I just changed out my battery, and the sunroof went dead. I was checking fuses, etc, but had that nagging feeling something went south with the battery swap.

You'd think with all of the electronics in cars today, there would be a special section in the owner's manual titled: "What needs to be reprogrammed when you swap the battery".

As for that dealership - I mean wow, how to earn $45 and lose a lifetime of business. Keep it up boys, you'll work yourself right out of a job.
