NISSAN MAXIMA 04-06 HID XENON LIGHTS... QUESTION.

Hello I am about to close a deal on buying a pair of HID XENON headlights with all the bulbs, ballast and igniters. for $500 shipped.

These are used, but with no scratches or blurriness or sun damage.

One of them has the side tab repaired but it looks good.

I cannot upload pics cuz im at work.

Can you guys please let me know if i should go ahead and buy these?

I'm not sure if that's a good deal for the set up or not. Have you shopped around? I personally had a question if anybody knows anything about these really cheap kits that these companies are selling online for $38 and $59 HID conversion kits. It sounds too good to be true right? Does anybody know anything about these? Should I steer clear of them?

Thanks

Well, do not buy these lights from ebay, thats what i was told and i didn't.

I went ahead and bought it from optirac, or his website is 3bspec.com but if you call him and mention maxima.org he gives you a discount.

I bought HID plug and play conversion kits from him a pair for my headlights and a pair for my fogs .. 3000k fogs and 6000k headlights. I have had no issues with them so far. They cost me $170 shipped. I broke a bulb while installing it, i called Pat and was honest with him. No questions asked he OVERNIGHTED me a Brand new HID bulb for NO CHARGE.

It was unbelievable...

His kits come with 1 year no hassle warranty. I am very happy with them, but i just wanted to see how cheap i can buy the actual HID headlight assemblies with real projectors. Cuz if you dont have HIDs in your maxima then you have halogen projectors, which is what i have right now.

Its not bad or anything but the light output even if i put in hids in these assemblies, is not as much as if you would put HIDs in real HID projectors.

I am still very much happy with what i got from him because the Halogen lamps that came stock with my car SUCKS.. OMG i couldnt see a damn thing on the road, and since winter is approaching and i live NJ with a whole lot of huge trees and curvy roads, i dont wanna risk my life or my car.. and i went ahead with hid conversion kits for both headlights and fogs and i am really really very satisfied because NOW I CAN SEE THE PARTICLES ON THE ROAD!!!!

Good Luck

$500 shipped seems like a great deal for all that being OEM.

$500 bucks is a great deal for an OEM swap, especially if they are in good condition like you say. You could probably make a good portion of that back selling your non HID as well.

I say go for it!

Seems like a decent deal. An easy swap and the deal maker is the fact you can sell your halogen headlights.

For reference, I just bought 2 - oem hid headlights for a 2008 maxima and paid 400 shipped for the pair. Both have a tab that need work and I felt like that was a steal. My original hid are trash due to the crash, but hopefully I can get something for the ballasts and sockets.

Good luck no matter what you decide..

Yes, it is a 2 years old thread. Though if it is a old thread, i am replying because if anyone need such parts to buy I suggest to try it with sparkhid. They have high quality HID headlights. Make a try.
