max not stable

Hi, my 2004 max feels not stable on the road. It feels like a boat. I cant really explain it, but it feels like the frame is warping when I turn. Maybe some stabiliser parts???

Changed all 4 shocks last year for kyb. Could it be direction parts or stabiliser links, etc?

May be you need strut bar, FSB, or RSB to tie all four corners a bit tight?

Confirm your tire pressure as well. My car always feels too soft when the tire pressure drops 1-3 pounds.

As was stated earlier; tire pressure, sway bay bushings/end links, control arm bushings, other suspension bushings, alignment. Make sure your lug nuts are tightened to specs.

32.5 psi. Lugnuts to spec.

It was ok what I got it 2 years ago so I guess some parts got used. Where should I look first, or should I just change em all?

If the instability is in the corners, I would look at anti sway bars. I do the wiggle test on em. I grab part of it and try to shake it as hard as i can. If it wiggles more than looks right, that may be the problem. Make sure your struts are good, even though they are good. The best way is to look to see if any fluid is leaking from them. Try bouncing the car and see if it goes up and down a few times, which it shouldnt.

direction feels lose too. Change tie rod ends? What about ball joints?

Rear "link kit" was changed at dealership under warranty recently. Link kit are just the end links? So I would still have to change the rear bushings, and front links/bushings, plus tie rod ends, ball joints, and id be pretty good?

You need a rear strut bar.

It is a boat, what do you expect. Seriously though it sounds like a swaybar link has snapped to me.

if you want to improve it , Rear Sway Bar a set of lowering springs, Rear Bar from KC will help improve the max

If I remember your from canada, double check your shocks, do the bounce test, they should be good so they should resist bouncing.

Your other areas to check are front tie rod/endlink bushings and front and rear sway bar bushing cause they deteriorate in snow belt areas and help keep the car stable at higher speeds, all this stuff is connected.

Hopefully this helps, it's been over a year and a half since I traded my 6th gen and moved on from modding BS

Everything seems ok... nothing loose in the steering, ball joints, and stabiliser bar. Maybe just the fact that I'm on winter tires and it's real cold.

Alignment maybe?
