Drop Resistor tranny
Drop Resistor tranny
I did do search all day but nothing for 6thgen. So can anybody tell me how's to do it? If I do this will I do any damage to tranny n I may make an switch for it if I can do this.
Not sure if you can do it for a 6th gen, but on the 5th gen, all it involves is unplugging a wire that's mounted to the passenger's side strut housing.
Yes, it can cause serious damage to your transmission if you don't restrict it to only WOT runs, and being a "now and then" thing.
Under partial throttle, it'll cause your transmission to shift extremely hard and violently, which will ruin the clutch packs.

weakest tranny Nissan could have put in, share with a volvo/sabb setup.
Now you do realized that a A33/A33B 4AT is totally differnt from a 5AT , and since the 6th gen runs a CAN-DATA link ECU/TCM , its almost impossiable to flirt with any sensor UNPLUG and have the car running without going into limp mode.
Altho a few 04s had the left over 4ATs which is rare.
we dont have a drop resistor , so imagine if we did , what is going to happen ?
Ive gone thru (2) 5AT and decide to do the 6spd swap a year ago because of the issues that relates to this stupid tranny.
and Rohan is planning to spray his 6th gen , so you can pretty much do the math what happens when you try to put more power to a weaker tranny.
simply the answer is NO!
