Rattling Behind the Dash

I've got a very annoying metal on metal rattling sound that seems to be coming from behind the dash. If you're in the driver's seat it seems to be on the passenger side, from the passenger side, it seems to be on the driver's side. Has anyone had this annoying problem?

Thanks

I have something very similar to what your talking about. I've narrowed it down to being between the hood and the plastic cover on the inside. Just havent taken the time to look at it yet.

It's been doing this damn near since day one and now with 46k on the car, I've just accepted the fact that Nissan hasn't got a clue how to deal with it or what is causing it.

Not likely. IF a bracket were lose it wouldn't be heard from one location within the cab. You'd be able to hear the metal on metal from the outside. The sound is coming from the dash area.

There is a rat feeding on your electronics. You are screwed. The sound is the popping noise he makes when you turn hard.
