Opinion on my choice of reverse LED's

Anybody thinking of getting LED reverse lights should definitely get these JLC bulbs (made in Japan). Worth the money and are BRIGHT AS HELL (45.98 shipped!!). Plus, they are 6000k HID colored bulbs.

Thanks a lot for the advice man. I'm actually a member of my6thgen.org too and I have bought stuff from him in the past but he doesn't have anything for reverse lights yet (that I'm aware of). I even checked his website but nada

It was either this or paying 40 a bulb from another member on there.

These are the last thing I'm gonna purchase for a WHILE. Getting close to having to drain and fill my CVT fluid and flushing my coolant SOON.

Guess it's time to save up again for maintenance fees
Good choice on the black LED tails! I love mine! I will say, make sure you make all the connections properly. The plugs will go in either way but the way LED's are, they can only be plugged in one way to work. I had one of the plugs in the wrong way and didn't realize it and I belive it was the cause of my problems detailed here: http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...n-problem.html

Regarding the bulbs, I bought these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT I'm waiting on them to come in, so I can't say yet how good they'll be. The ones you're looking at look bright as h*ll, but there's no way I'd pay $40 for them. Whatever blows your skirt up!

Thanks, I'll think they'll be a good fit for my dark slate max. It'll match my "blacked out" headlights. I'm gonna try and get all the connections working correctly when I install them. Don't think I'll have much of a problem since I have switchbacks with 6ohm resistors which will balance everything out.

Anyways, I personally don't think those bulbs you got would be very useful since the black led tails don't have reflectors for the reverse lights. Also, they are multi-directional which means they would be depending on reflectors to make them seem brighter than they really are. I can see the point if your using them on the stock tails but for aftermarket.....it's a no go IMO. But, as you said above, whatever blows your skirt up LOL

I really do not know why some of these pics I post are soo huge. Oh well, enjoy it. That is what you shoud get!!!

Either you get something that would stand-out or get nothing.

This is very bright and a real eye-catcher. I had a G35 guy follow me only to ask me about the lights. My neighbor likes it. But when I told him how much I paid for it, he asked me if it serves any other purpose than light up only when the car is in reverse? What can I say? I love it when my car can see clearly when it is backing up. I do still have a coupon for 15% off. Let me know if you need it or if you already have a coupon, great! Let me know when you buy it.

Oh, MaxPower encouraged me to buy these. He said it was the best reverse led bulbs for our application for the best output. Price bothered me a little, but I went ahead and bought it. My review is still on vleds site. Check older reviews you will find this same pic on their site. You will see my review there.

The bulb is a 912.

Anyone who pays $50 for reverse bulbs is a nut...

http://autolumination.com/906.htm

The first ones listed are the exact same thing, just 18 LED.

The $50 VLED bulbs are also not in stock...

First of all KCmaxx, I sent you a PM a week or so ago and you are still to respond. I am waiting for my response.

Next, this is $50. It is your car. No matter what you spend on it, it is ok.

Last, I don't think the led you talking about gives out as much light as this.

To sum it up, to each their own. Whatever you end up buying is totally up to you.

By the way KCmaxx, I am really enjoying my RSB. Thanks again for sale. Car still handles curves like a champ! Hey, I was even thinking of getting another RSB from you so I have 2 in the rear. Tell me, would 2 RSB improve anything from having just one?

Thanks a lot for the recommendation guys, I'm gonna look into those two and make a choice. Leaning towards the v-led's now since I've seen Petite's pic. Damn those things are bright

KCmaxx, I will shoot you the PM before the end of today. Heading out now for the day.

6.5affiliate, you made your choice? Great! What did you choose? Or would you just keep me in suspense? Oh, I mean US in suspense? Uuuuggghhhhhhh...... Well, I hope you choosed what I have.

Its just $50. I promise, you would be glad. It is soooo popular, they can't even keep it on the shelves. Reason it runs out often. The other one from autolumination is $12. The difference in price is same as why some people buy TSW rims that look good, while some buy VOSSENS. Just your preference. I would like to know what you decided on, though.

Yeah man, I'm gonna keep that a secret until I get everything installed. I don't wanna spoil the surprise but I'll definitely post up pics as well when that time comes. And yes, I've also heard a lot of good things about the led's that you and some others member have on yall's rides. Judging by the pics, they look really good.

Anyways, I definitely agree with what you said. If a person is gonna get something for their car. They might as well spend some money to get a high quality product compared just buying something cheap that won't look as good. All I can say is that I don't like to be frugal when it comes to cars. If I'm doing something, I'm gonna do it right. The cheapest things I've ever done on my car is paint for my chrome strips and headlights but that's it and it's gonna stay that way for as long as this car is running.

I hope you didn't pick up the lights the Petite has. I have those with the black tails, and they are not very bright at all. I have 20% window tint, and I have a hard time backing into my driveway at night without rolling the windows down. Those bulbs are super-bright if you have a reflector, but the black tails reverse reflector is a flat gray. I'm thinking your best bet is the new bulbs that JSmith is selling.

You can actually pm Jsmithsole on here since he's the moderator here and the other forum. They are really a HIGH quality bulb.
I found them on eBay for a couple bucks cheaper: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Just might get them.

Those are actually the wrong bulb. You need a 921 or 920 bulb that would actually work for reverse bulb due to the amount of voltage it needs for maximum output. The ones that you found are meant for the floor lights/foot wells which are 194's

Jsmithsole, I am curious to know about those reverse bulds you have for sale. Can you provide more details? Pics of the bulb before put on a car? Price? How many leds on it? What is the output? Looking forward to getting info.
