New Maxima

Hello guys just wanted to introduce myself and my Maxima my name is Alex, im 20 years old, justgot my maxima like a month ago, and plan to be part of this Maxima Forums for a long time, thought i would post some pics

first few pics are when i got it, with the stock 18'' wheel, but the previews owner mess it up with putting 225/40/18 tires on it,the front looks horrible with the big gap,

So i was goin to buy the right tires for it but i ran into a good deal for some 20'' wheels so i got dose insted

Welcome man, your right that guy made that nice looking car look like a toy. he probably did it for better acceleration. the smaller the wheel the more torque (more revolutions for less power ratio is greater then distance per revolution = revolutions: power > revolutions:distance) also bad gas mileage. so imo its not a good trade off. thats like removing all the seats in your car for weight reduction. whats the point of owning this car then.

also with you brand spankin new car, treat it with a CAI and some exhaust mods.

Nice Ride.... I see what your talking about with those feet the previous owner put on. It makes the car look like its missing something, i guess that is a cheap way to lower it... LOL. Your new rims are nice.. i just recently bout me an 07, its an SL so it has the other factory rims on it, but it came with brand new tires, so i have no notion to change the rims until the tires are shot....

Welcome to the Org. Did the previous owner tint the headlights too? Are they HIDs? If so, how much dimmer are they?

Idk maybe a nice exhaust, a nice MP3 stereo, but i might have to hold on all the mods, starting to do that winning buzzing noise from the front RH side, probably the timing chain.

Damn, sorry to hear about that man. You should just get it diagnosed first before deciding anything. It might be the timing chain, A/C compressor, or alternator. I pretty much have a combination of two of them.

But yeah, mods can wait. Maintenance comes first.
