Does anyone have an idea what the widest size tires we can fit on the front in our cars ? until it becomes a rubbing issue

 

you have to consider offset too. The rear will rub before the front. My chrome 20s rubbed in the rear when the shocks compressed due to the offset so low. I have wider wheels now which stretch the same size tires and no rubbing.

What width wheels and offset do you have? If you mean stock wheels, the tires will stopping fitting wheels way before they rub.
Just get the correct size for your wheels that keeps it in the closest ratio or you'll throw off your speedo and odo.

There was someone who had 275 mm wide tires in the front here on 350Z wheels. I dont recall the profile of the tire, but you can lookup the offsets on the 350Z wheel.
