new trans!

So I have an 06 with 78k and finally after bringing my car to the stealership they are giving me a new trans. My rental is a 2010 Max and this thing is sick. IMO this thing handles so much better than the 06. The cvt is nice but then again the trans in my car was always ****ty so idk what a good trans feels like lol. I'm not a huge fan of the interior in the 10 but my car also has nav and lether seats. Also its not modded obviously. Still a great car.

Great you're enjoying the 2010.
Are you paying out of your pocket for a new transmission ?

So I got it back yesterday and when I dropped the rental off the car was in mint condition. However this morning the rental place called and said that there was sime rear end damage and I'm liable. Even though I didn't do anything and someone hit the car at the dealership or elsewhere after I dropped it off I'm still liable. But my 06 is running great can't wait to bring it to the track.

Crazy that all these Maximas need new transmissions so early...smh. Mine is at the dealership right now to get a new trans. I have an '06 with 77k. I'm so used to the jerking, I can't wait to see what it feels like to have a smooth ride...lol.

Changing the tranny fluid 3 times fixed my problems.... maybe our trannies go bad just because we dont change fluid. Seems weird to me that we kinda never need to change tranny fluid..... why isnt it like every 20 000km.

From everything that I read about 6th gens, the trannies are pretty damn defective. 04's autos being the worse. A LOT of members seem to be either rebuilding their trannies or replacing them altogether. There's even a class action lawsuit thread on here:
