Stock Car Radio keeps changing stations on own
Today my MAX started skipping between stations back and forth. For example i hear 92.7 and then it skips to 97.9 and switches back to 92.7 in less than a second. Any one had any similar problems? It's annoying the hell out of me. Also wanted to add that i recently changed my driver side turn signal bulb. When i was changing it i noticed wires down there. I changed my bulb by removing my tire and taking out the plastic piece our maxs have. Do you think i might have damaged one of those wires or that any radio wires might be down there? Any suggestions would be helpful thanks

Not sure, you might wanna check your fuse box and wires to see if there was any damage. This is the main reason why I drop the bumper if I'm replacing bulbs or what nots. It's much easier and you don't have to worry about messing something up.

i really can't see why messing with something in your bumper would toggle the two stations back and forth. the radio controls are in a closed circuit INSIDE the unit, and a one way remote operation from the steering wheel and plugs into the back of the unit. i can only guess the reason for this is something to do with those steering wheel buttons or wires.
on your actual radio unit, are there any worn out buttons? is the interior of your car in good condition. did you spill any liquid or soda on your unit or in the console? or anywhere? is it the original BOSE unit or is it aftermarket?
if its aftermarket, your remote control could be pinned with the "last" button pressed.
i donno what else, but these are my best guesses.
good luck.

Thanks for the info guys. I fixed it, my **** to change stations was a lil loose and sticky. i had to clean it and just click it back to place. Since it was a lil loose the vibrations caused it to tune .1 on the radio. If you guys have the same problem in the future just click your **** back into place and clean it with some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
